For today's Rotary Minute, Lil Barron read the lyrics from Tim Mcgraw's song Humble and Kind. In the wake of what happened in Orlando and what we as Rotarians try to be, the message is a good one.
To date, we have 34 signed up for the installation dinner on June 29. This will be a great evening to look forward to!
Tim Welsh led us in yet another rousing round of horseplay. I mentioned that I had sad dollars that this is my last regular meeting as club president and that I also had happy dollars that this is my last regular meeting as club president.....
We watched a video of RI president-elect John Germ's closing address to the international assembly (that included all the district governor elects around the world). He had a very personal and inspiring message about how his father beat polio as an adult and how as Rotarians we will not give up and we will beat polio too. This will allow us to turn our resources to another more pressing world problem to solve in the near future, an example of Rotary Serving Humanity (next year's theme).
For those of you who weren't there, as always we missed you!
