Today we had a great offsite meeting at Red Mountain Resort, hosted by Rotarian Tracey Welsh who is the general manager. She gave a great program on the history of the resort, the amenities it offers and some of the celebrities who have stayed there.
A number of club members had never visited the resort before and were pleasantly surprised to learn that the resort is open to local residents for meals (breakfast, lunch and dinner) as well as other services such as massages and pedicures.
Three members (Carrie Haas, Tracey Welsh and Tat Chan) were presented with their first Paul Harris Fellow certificates.
Tim Welsh led us in a rousing round of horseplay (remember that the proceeds from next week's horseplay will be donated to our servers at the Abbey Inn).
Following the program, some of us stayed to wrap Christmas gifts that will be delivered to a needy family this Saturday. Others took advantage of the exercise program to work off a few holiday pounds (or make room for more).
For those of you who weren't there, you missed a great opportunity and we missed you!
