  • Winter Mardi Gras/Pinata party at Green Springs Club House, kids welcome, indoor swimming pool – 2/21/14


Vocational Meeting – on-site visit to Restore – the Habitat for Humanity thrift shop

  • Habitat for Humanity (HfH) built 21 homes in Washington County so far

  • Generally they work on building 1 or 2 homes per year

  • HfH uses volunteers to revitalize houses and neighborhoods

  • Restore specializes in building materials – no clothes

  • Restore gets 2-3 pallets per day in donations

  • Restore mixes their own paint

  • Restore gives workshops on how to do certain things

  • Restore working on putting in offices and conference room for community use

  • Restore is active on Facebook – friend them today

  • Restore is big believer in recycling those things that they do not sell

  • Restore only has 4 employees and always can use volunteers

  • Some volunteers are there as mandated by court for community service

  • Restore is open 9AM to 6PM Monday - Saturday


Horse Play – Tim did an excellent job as usual
